Legacy Week is Legacy's most significant national appeal which is held annually, in the first week of September. The appeal began in 1942 and is one of the longest running and iconic campaigns in Australia. This year Legacy Week will be held 29 August to 4 September 2011 with the theme KEEP THE PROMISE. The intent of this campaign is to remind Australians that Legacy is a national tradition that carries deep meaning and was born out of the trenches, where a promise was made to a dying mate that someone would look after the missus and the kids.Lest We Forget........
